When you attend the Joe Blasco makeup seminars, you will gain insights into today's makeup artistry and the professional makeup techniques that have defined Hollywood beauty for decades. Look no further, you have found the Joe Blasco Makeup Studio Seminars!

Now, after having opened his first school in 1968, his second in 1974, his third in 1991, his fourth in 1994, and his fifth in 2000, Joe Blasco and his new associate Maxine Fensom are creating his newest and best makeup seminar studio.
NOW IN 2026, Mr. Blasco will once again teach professional makeup techniques as he did years ago. He and the makeup teachers he is personally selecting will instruct on the most relevant modern makeup artistry techniques, skillfully uniting them with the classic techniques developed originally by Vincent JR Kehoe, Max Factor, Richard Corson, Mr. Kiva Hoffman, Gene Hibbs, Hal King, Lee Greenway, the Westmore’s, Rudy Horvatich, Gordon and George Bau, Ben Nye, Helena Rubinstein, Elizabeth Arden, Charles Revson, Jack P Pierce, and the wisdom of many other historically famous makeup artists (including Joe Blasco) from the past golden years of the makeup industry, many of whom were actually Mr. Blasco’s teachers.
All of the makeup knowledge developed through those many 12 decades (120 years) CAN NOW BE YOURS! As you will see, there NOW is a better way of learning makeup than by watching self-taught inexperienced artists demonstrate their homemade techniques on YouTube.

By JOE BLASCO
All completed Joe Blasco makeup seminars follow and further expand upon the groundbreaking 2,000-page encyclopedic makeup book, The Professional Makeup Artist, written by Joe Blasco and Vincent J-R Kehoe.
This extraordinary volume is widely regarded as the most comprehensive literary work ever created on the art of professional makeup artistry. Authored by the two pioneers of modern makeup techniques and creators of the world’s finest professional makeup products, the book represents a historic milestone in beauty education, drawn from their combined 110 years of experience across every phase of makeup artistry for film, fashion, society beauty, special makeup effects, and the related arts, crafts, and digital imaging industries.
The Joe Blasco makeup seminars present the most detailed and advanced professional makeup techniques ever taught and form an elite educational series not offered in traditional makeup schools—unless one had the rare opportunity to attend the original Joe Blasco Makeup Centers in Hollywood, Orlando, Nashville, or Miami’s South Beach. For those who did not, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the next best thing to being taught directly by the master himself.

Define “Final Presentation”
Pre-Showing Family Discussion
Demonstration upon an actual cadaver at a local mortuary is only available for classes of 14 or more attendees.
Very few professional makeup artists understand the intricate and delicate mortuary makeup process, nor do they attempt to do so. By attending this fascinating and essential seminar offered by Joe Blasco, you will become light-years beyond your peers in makeup artistry.
The sincere gratitude offered by grieving families is unmatched by any other recognition received in the industry, highlighting the importance of professional makeup techniques in this field.
There is no extensive hands-on work required, except for a brief, closely supervised sponge and brush application on embalmed skin to experience proper texture and technique. This is a highly specialized process within the realm of mortuary makeup.
Attendees may decline hands-on participation and observe only. Even without direct application, you will gain the training necessary, which Joe Blasco has utilized many times. You will know exactly what to do should a celebrity or client request that you perform their “Final Presentation” makeup.
Proper mortuary protocol is first lectured at Joe Blasco's Makeup Artist Studio prior to departure to the mortuary.
This is a very special, unique class only available from Joe Blasco, which clearly underscores the seriousness and depth of our educational level of competency and commitment.
This session is not taught at makeup schools or cosmetology schools anywhere in the United States of America. This very special seminar is exclusively offered and personally taught by Joe Blasco.
This seminar will definitely raise your professional level of proficiency and competency above all others in the field. It will also open a new and challenging work opportunity for cosmetology-licensed attendees and may inspire unlicensed attendees to pursue licensure.
Some mortuaries will accept artists with cosmetician and aesthetician licenses.
Even if an attendee chooses not to enter the mortuary makeup field, the knowledge gained in this seminar is invaluable and will greatly elevate their mastery of the makeup artistry profession.

Each of the Joe Blasco makeup seminars can be attended individually to receive a "Certificate of Time Applied" (CTA). Successfully completing ALL seminars allows attendees to earn the renowned “Joe Blasco Makeup Artist Certification” (JBMAC), which will be personally signed and dated by Mr. Blasco. THIS BEAUTIFUL CERTIFICATE IS WHAT ALL ATTENDEES STRIVE TO ACHIEVE. MR. BLASCO WILL ISSUE TWO CERTIFICATES: A LARGE “CERTIFICATE” AND A SMALLER "CERTIFICATE", SIMILAR IN SIZE TO AN ACTUAL COSMETOLOGY LICENSE.
Mr. Blasco requires that the smaller certificate be displayed on the mirror at your workstation at all times while you perform your magic using professional makeup techniques on your grateful and admiring clients.
Individuals who complete ALL seminars in a satisfactory manner and receive the “Joe Blasco Makeup Artist Certification” will automatically be added to our “availability list” for work assignments through the Joe Blasco Makeup Artist Agency.
Assignment selection is based on the type of work required and each artist's ability to execute their makeup artistry skills effectively.
JBMS absolutely does not employ an unfair lottery system for job assignment. We believe that an artist's ability to quickly respond online by clicking the right buttons faster than others does not fairly reflect their capability to perform the job. It merely indicates they have mastered the art of clicking buttons quickly.
This AI method of conducting makeup work assignment selection for specific jobs is extremely unfair to artists who have diligently worked to master the more complex areas of makeup artistry.
There may be JBMS artists who are more proficient in certain aspects of makeup artistry than others. To address this reality and ensure fairness to all artists and employers, JBMS has established several levels of certification proficiency, allowing artists to advance from lower certification levels to the highest level through ongoing advanced testing procedures.
There are four levels of JBMS certification proficiency: 65%, 75%, 85%, and 95-100%. These proficiency levels are indicated on each attendee’s certification certificate based on the percentage grade received on the initial certification exam.
Individuals who do not pass the final examination with scores below 65% will be given three months to PRACTICE for re-testing.
Practice can be conducted at home or at JBMS when space is available for a reasonable SPACE UTILIZATION fee of only $15 per hour. Please note that there is no instruction or teacher supervision available for the $15 hourly space utilization.
Teacher supervision and additional instruction are available, with the hourly fee being variable and contingent upon the subject matter and the hours required.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT… ONLY FROM JOE BLASCO.
Normally, this type of additional tutoring begins at $75 per hour. Mr. Blasco’s hourly private one-on-one sessions start at $250 per hour for natural Glam makeup artistry, and go up to $350 for very high-end red carpet looks and extremely detailed fashion, television, motion picture, and celebrity makeup design.
In the case of personal tutoring seminars, the hourly price is assessed according to the subject matter and must first be discussed with Mr. Blasco to establish a reasonable fee for the session.
Practice space for testing and personal study needs to be reserved in advance, with an hourly fee of $40.00 and a three hour minimum.
The one-on-one tutoring procedure is also utilized to enhance the certification percentage rating to a higher level of proficiency in professional makeup techniques.
Duplicate certificates can be issued to replace lost certificates at a fee of $350.00 for up to 3 years. After 3 years, re-testing is mandatory, and the testing fee is prepaid.
Group refresher seminars are available after completing each original seminar, offered at a 25% discount off the original seminar price. However, private one-on-one tutoring is not discounted.
Attendees must be registered, scheduled, and pre-paid for testing and/or re-testing. Private one-on-one tutoring with Mr. Blasco is available at $350 per hour, or the hourly rate may vary based on the subject matter. All testing costs $375.00 per applicant.
